The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management designed to transform the people-side of business. This program prepares students for generalist or specialist roles in diverse workplaces of all sizes and industries. HR professionals help organizations build culture, fulfill their mission, and adapt to change, with duties ranging from attracting and retaining to training and compensating employees.

Students take foundational human resource management courses, including unique stand-alone options such as: Human Resource Management, Strategic Compensation and Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and Management, Training and Development, Labor-Management Relations, and a Capstone in Human Resources. Hands-on learning experiences include working on human resources projects for real community or campus clients during the senior capstone course, and gaining real-world experience through internships in businesses, government, and nonprofit organizations. According to 2021-22 research survey respondents, all recent human resource management majors achieved 100% career and graduate school placement after graduation. Example job titles include Human resource generalist, Recruiter, Talent acquisition manager, and various specialist roles. Graduates work at companies like American Family Insurance, Kohler, and Milwaukee Tool. The program also provides salary information from the U.S. Department of Labor (2023 data), showing median salaries for roles like Human resources specialist ($67,750) and Human resources manager ($136,350).
