The Human Resources Management program at the University of Oklahoma is offered as a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree within the Division of Management & Entrepreneurship in the Michael F. Price College of Business.

The program provides students with an invaluable set of tools through classes taught by experienced faculty and a hands-on approach to management education. Required courses include human resources, organizational behavior, and labor economics. Students then select three electives from a list that includes compensation management, labor-management relations, supervision skills, and negotiations.

A key feature is the unique Integrated Business Core (IBC), where students form and operate actual businesses, pitching to a local bank for funding. The curriculum has been certified as in compliance with the standards set by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Faculty in the Division of Management are award-winning, have published nationally, and possess practical work experience to provide real-world perspective. Students can join the OU student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and, meeting GPA requirements, the University of Oklahoma Chapter of the Sigma Iota Epsilon Management Honorary. A variety of internship opportunities are available in local firms.

The program benefits from Price Hall, a state-of-the-art facility combining classrooms, common areas, conference rooms, and offices.

The Michael F. Price College of Business has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 1926 and is ranked in the top 12 percent of AACSB International’s accredited undergraduate programs.

The BBA in Human Resource Management prepares students for diverse roles across various sectors, including manufacturing, advertising, banks, retail, consulting firms, government agencies, and educational institutions. Examples of recent graduate roles include Contract Specialist and HR Specialist, while experienced alumni roles include HR Generalist and Regional Manager.
